Songs On The Lawn

After last years magnificent success of Songs on the Lawn, we are hosting another wonderful line-up.

The weather looks promising, bring a blanket though, it may get chilly on the sea front.

We have Pupils from Shimna College, Newcastle Primary School, All Childrens Integrated Primary School and the Anchor Yukes and there may be a few extra acts.

We are looking forward to welcoming you all to The Rectory Lawn.

SOMA - Sharing of Ministries Abroad

We are delighted to be hosting a team from SOMA from 1/6/23 - 4/6/23.

As part of our special weekend of activities, we are hosting a Ladies Night on Friday 2nd June at 7:00pm with a delicious meal and an after-dinner speaker from the SOMA team.

Bright and early on the Saturday morning at 9:00am, we are hosting a Mens Breakfast for just £5 and one of the team will share their story of faith.

Saturday evening at 6:00pm, we will be throwing the hall doors open for a super Young Families event - Messy Church. There will be crafts, games, stories and a snack.

On Sunday morning the team will be taking part in both our services.

We are very much looking forward to hearing their stories of faith.

Youth Fellowship

Hello everyone,

The Youth Fellowship is a new venture open to all high school students.

We gather at the Rectory on Friday evenings (not every week - dates below) and catch up on chats and have pizza nights, hot dog nights, games and we are open to suggestions for activities, obviously there are guidelines which we have to follow.

We have some great ideas for next spring when the weather picks up :0)

Kerygma Good News Choir

8.00pm SATURDAY 20TH AUGUST in Church of Ireland the Square Rostrevor. Kerygma Good News Choir.

Songs in the performance include, How Great is our God, We Believe, You Raise me up, Down to the River to Pray, Amazing Grace and The Saints Go Marching In.

A free concert as part of our bicentennial celebrations. Other guests from 2.00pm include Downshire Brass Band, Maria Flynn, Brona McVittee, Orly Watson and Kilbroney Handbell Ringers.

JAM Big Days Out , Kilbroney Centre

This is a ONE day of activities, please choose either Monday OR Tuesday

A fun filled day of games, outdoor activities and Bible teaching for children ages P5 to Y8 .

It runs from 10:am to 6:00pm each day and is based in the excellent outdoor surroundings of the KILBRONEY CENTRE.

St.Johns Parish Church invites you to an evening of ‘Music on the Lawn’.

The evning will take place at The Rectory, No.1 King Street, Newcastle.

The music will start at 7pm with beautiful sounds from All Childrens pupils along with Shimna Integrated College choirs.

Please bring your own rug or chair and sit comfortably with refreshments provided.

This is an event suitable for Young Families.

Where (start) : Millennium Room, St.Johns Hall for crafts

Where (finish) : The Rectory for hot dogs and hot chocolate
