St John's Parish Church is situated at 'The Rock' on the South side of Newcastle, County Down, Northern Ireland. A parish in the Diocese of Dromore, of the Church of Ireland.

St. John’s church dates from 1832 having been built at a cost of £1,200 and paid for by William Richard, Earl Annesley.
It is built on an area called Black Rock, on the southern side of Newcastle, it is believed it derives its name from the black shingle on the beach close by.
We have a wonderful congregation and our Minister, Revd. Myrtle Morrison is dedicated to her Parish, she and her husband Dill, have put their hearts and souls into the Parish and made it what it is today.
Please come and join us whether on holiday or if you have recently moved to the area, you are more than welcome.
